School's Out

Hurray!
It was the last day of school today! A whole summer of sun and fun ahead. I'm going to be spending lots of days on the beach. How about you? What are your plans for the summer?

I'm also looking forward to visiting my friends in Liverpool, Sheffield and Lisbon, so if you're there and see a little pink monster wandering around, don't be worried, it's only me on holiday. What are up to, will you be visiting any exciting places this summer, maybe one of the cities in this song, 'One Small World'.

There are lots of places I'd love to visit, Egypt, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Brazil, there are just so many places to see. Where do you live? I'm sure it's a great place to live, I'd love it if you wrote and told me about the place where you live and the fun things to do there.

Have fun this summer.
Bye for now.

Here Comes Summer

Hi there,
It's June already and the weather's sunny, but I've been so busy getting ready for tests at school. How about you? it's not much fun is it? It'll be worth it when we all get great marks, touch wood for luck, and can enjoy the summer.

I've not been studying all the time! I love playing football with my friends and going swimming in the chilly North Sea. How about you? What are your favourite sports?

Remember if you are out and about with your friends or family. Make sure you keep safe when there are cars around, check out the road safety tips on Learn English Kids this month, there are some great games to play and scary videos to watch.

So keep safe and have fun!

Bye for now.

May Day

Hiya,

What have you been doing lately? Was the first of May a holiday for you?
It was a lovely sunny sunny day here so we went to the beach. The sea was beautiful, blue and clear, there were lots of little fish swimming about and tickling our feet. We stayed there all day and in the evening we had a barbeque with lots of tasty food. Afterwards we had a joke tellling competition. My favourite joke was ...

What's red and goes up and down?
A strawberry in a lift! ha ha!

Do you know any good jokes? Send them to me and I'll put the best ones on the blog.
While you think of some good jokes I'd better get my homework done ... back to school tomorrow!

Take care and bye for now.

Easter Eggs

Hi there,
How are you? Here it's the weekend, I'm on holiday from school, and I've got for lots of chocolate easter eggs! I love chocolate. Why not test your chocolate knowledge with this chocolate quiz. There are lots of ways to eat it not just easter eggs, how about trying these chocolate recipes, delicious! If you don't fancy chocolate you can always try a banana milkshake or pizza and chips ... but not all at the same time. Don't end up like the Greedy Hippo!

Do you have any foody celebrations where you live, like pancake day in the UK or the Cheung Chau bun race in Hong Kong, a right old ' bun and struggle' as my mum would say. Here in the north we have a big easter egg hunt, and it's about to start so I'd better hurry up. Here I go, see you later! Have a good weekend ... and don't eat too much chocolate.

Bye for now

April Showers

Hiya,
It's April already but were you tricked by anyone on April Fools day? Did you try to buy striped paint or wear your trousers on your head? We sent my friend Messyhair to buy a glass hammer then we turned all the chairs in the classroom upside down ... the teacher didn't get the joke!

Well it's time for my ukelele lesson, speak to you later

Have a good weekend

Spring has Sprung

Hi there!
How are you? The weather's getting warmer and spring is almost here. Green shoots are beginning to appear on the trees, animals are creeping out of hibernation, and everthing in the garden is waking up after the long cold winter. What is happening where you live? Is it winter? Is it spring? Is it wet or dry? What season is it now for you?

The first honey bee of the year just came buzz buzz buzzing around the garden, looking for flowers so he can make lots of honey for me!. It was even warm enough for un-monsters to go swimming this weekend. All the children in the neighbourhood came to the beach, for a barbeque with bangers (sausages), beans and blackberry pop. We northern monsters don't mind the cold at all so we jump in the sea even when it's snowing, ...and even the polar bears think twice about jumping in.

Enjoy the weather wherever you are and have a great week.
