Halloween

Hi and a spooky Halloween hello to you,
I'm getting my costume ready for our Halloween party. I haven't decided what costume to wear, what do you think? Should I go as a vampire or a wizard or little devil? What about you? Do you have any plans for Halloween? My mum's taking us out trick or treating, then back to my house for lots of Halloween treats and party games. It'll be great fun and I'm really looking forward to it!

Every year at the end of the party, and this is my favourite bit, we sit around the fire and tell scary stories.I love stories about haunted houses and dark forests and things that go bump in the night! Do like spooky stories? Maybe you could send me your favourite, I'd love to read it.

If you celebrate Halloween have a great spooky time, if you don't, have a great weekend whatever you do.

Bye for now.

Our House

Hi there,
How are things with you? There have been big changes for me, my family has just moved to a new house. It's a great place, though sometimes I can hear strange noises at night, I hope it's not a haunted! Now we live high up on a hill and from the roof I can see the sea. There are lots of trees outside and it's a great for exploring and adventures! All my friends came to visit on Saturday and we had a great barbeque, with sausages and hamburgers and banana milk shake.

On Sunday there was a terrible storm, thunder, lightening, wind and rain, I stayed home and safe in my bedroom. I had a great time reading all my superhero comics. I think my favourite hero is Spiderman, or is it Batman, or maybe the X-Men, I can never decide, what about you, who's your favourite superhero? I like to invent my own superheroes too and give them all kinds of crazy powers. All you need is your imagination (and maybe some paper and a pencil), or you can style your own hero on LearnEnglish Kids.

Tonight I wish I was Homework Man, with the amazing power to do all my homework in the blink of an eye, but as I'm only me I have to go now and do my English assignment for school tomorrow.

So it's bye from me for now.

Fun in the Sun

Hi guys!
What have you been doing while I've been away? I hope you're having a great summer. I had a brilliant time on holiday, we did lots of fun stuff. When it was sunny we went to the beach, climbed mountains, played football, and went exploring in the woods. When it rained we painted, visited some great museums and watched movies. And of course we checked out all the latest fun on Learn English kids!

What did you do for summer? Why not write and tell us all about your holidays? I'd love to know what you've been up to.

Got to go now, mum's calling me for tea ... summer pudding, yum!

Bye for now

School's Out

Hurray!
It was the last day of school today! A whole summer of sun and fun ahead. I'm going to be spending lots of days on the beach. How about you? What are your plans for the summer?

I'm also looking forward to visiting my friends in Liverpool, Sheffield and Lisbon, so if you're there and see a little pink monster wandering around, don't be worried, it's only me on holiday. What are up to, will you be visiting any exciting places this summer, maybe one of the cities in this song, 'One Small World'.

There are lots of places I'd love to visit, Egypt, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Brazil, there are just so many places to see. Where do you live? I'm sure it's a great place to live, I'd love it if you wrote and told me about the place where you live and the fun things to do there.

Have fun this summer.
Bye for now.

Here Comes Summer

Hi there,
It's June already and the weather's sunny, but I've been so busy getting ready for tests at school. How about you? it's not much fun is it? It'll be worth it when we all get great marks, touch wood for luck, and can enjoy the summer.

I've not been studying all the time! I love playing football with my friends and going swimming in the chilly North Sea. How about you? What are your favourite sports?

Remember if you are out and about with your friends or family. Make sure you keep safe when there are cars around, check out the road safety tips on Learn English Kids this month, there are some great games to play and scary videos to watch.

So keep safe and have fun!

Bye for now.

May Day

Hiya,

What have you been doing lately? Was the first of May a holiday for you?
It was a lovely sunny sunny day here so we went to the beach. The sea was beautiful, blue and clear, there were lots of little fish swimming about and tickling our feet. We stayed there all day and in the evening we had a barbeque with lots of tasty food. Afterwards we had a joke tellling competition. My favourite joke was ...

What's red and goes up and down?
A strawberry in a lift! ha ha!

Do you know any good jokes? Send them to me and I'll put the best ones on the blog.
While you think of some good jokes I'd better get my homework done ... back to school tomorrow!

Take care and bye for now.
