I'm late! I'm late!

Hello, and how are you? My day began very badly! I forgot to set my alarm and woke up late, I should have been up at seven but instead got up at eight! Oh dear, what a rush, I was in such a mess, my trousers on my head and my gloves on my feet. I rushed and ran and got to school just in time to meet my friends before class.

It rained all day, but school was fun, we're studying ancient Egypt, finding out all about pyramids, mummies, and hieroglyphics.

It's five o'clock now, and I'm having my favourite tea, marmalade sandwiches and orange juice. What are you doing? You can find out what children in other countries are up to in One Moment around the World.

Oops! Got to go now, my favourite TV programme Dr. Who is going to start in a few minutes, and I don't want to be late for that!

Bye for now

Snakes on the Beach

Hello there,

How are you? We had a great time at the beach last week. It was warm and sunny, the sea was nice and cool, and we played lots of games. But on the way home we saw the strangest sight, a cat and a snake getting ready to fight, well they weren't really fighting, they were just staring at each other. There was a lot of hissing and spitting, I think they were both more frightened than anything else, and eventually the snake slithered away so neither of them was hurt. We all stayed at a safe distance, you never know with snakes do you? It's best to leave them well alone.

I love animals, but some are a bit frightening. On Friday we found a huge spider in our house, all big and brown and hairy. I got rid of it using the scientific method for getting rid of spiders ... I hopped around, waved a newspaper at it, and sang Incy Wincy Spider at the top of my voice. In the end I think it couldn't stand my singing any more and ran out of the door.

Have you got any funny animal stories? Especially if you have any good ideas on how to get rid of mosquitos, there's one buzzing round my head right now!

Where's that bug spray?

Bye for now.

May Day

Hello,
Hurray! It's May Day, there's no school today and I'm going to the beach with my friends. There are two beaches near my home, there's Mr. Misery's beach, no pets, no ball games, no bicycles, no frisbees, in fact no fun allowed at all. We're going to the other beach where you can take your dog, cat, or pet alligator, run around, play football, make a noise, and annoy grown-ups ... just as kids and monsters should.

Are you on holiday today? Would you like to go to the beach, like Dalia in the Lucky Envelope. I love to go swimming in the sea, I take my snorkel and look beneath the waves for strange sea creatures.

If you do go in the water, be very, very careful, you never know what you might find way down deep below!

Splish splash and bye for now.
See you at the beach!
