Howling Halloween

Hi there,
Only two more days to Halloween . I'm so excited! Everything's ready for my party, lots of Halloween food and games to play. But do you know about the strange history and customs of Halloween? Try this Halloween quiz, and see how much you really know!

We're going to go out trick or treating too, around the neighbourhood and through the dark dark wood ( my mum's coming with us to make sure we're all safe, and don't eat too many sweets!). Afterwards we're going back to my house to tell scary stories around the fire, like Howling Halloween and the Haunted House ...wooooo! Hope I don't get too scared.

Do you know any really scary ghost stories to tell me? Don't make them too scary though, we monsters are very sensitive creatures after all!

Halloween

Hi there,

Halloween's coming, it's so exciting, witches and wizards, monsters, and spooks. What costume are you going to wear? It's the best time of year for monsters, we have so much fun, running round, howling and scaring each other!

There's so much to get ready, I'm making a Jack o'Lantern to put outside the house. Will you be making one too? I'm having a big party round my house specially for Halloween, everyone will be coming in fancy dress. I still don't know what to wear! Have you got any ideas for me?

Autumn Leaves

Hi there,
How are you?
The leaves are changing colour and beginning to fall from the trees. Yes, autumn is here. The animals are getting busy, looking for somewhere warm and dry to spend the chilly winter months. In my garden the grey squirrels are busy running up and down the apple trees looking for food. If it's too windy to go outside you can play this game and help Sally the Squirrel collect enough nuts to last all winter.

It's a stormy day today and the wind is blowing the leaves all about so I'm staying in the house, cosy and warm. I'm going to make a leaf poster for my bedroom. I'm going to look out of my window to see what different colours I can use, but you could just use your imagination.

Autumn's such a beautiful time of year makes me want to write some poetry, like this autumn poem. If you like writing poetry you could enter our poetry competition, or send it to me, I'd love to hear from you.
